Adult Education

Sunday, May 17, 2026, 10:05 AM

During May, our Sunday morning adult education will explore Just War Theory—a Christian framework for wrestling with the moral questions of war and the use of force. Rooted in Scripture and shaped by theologians like Augustine, it considers when force might be justified and how it can uphold human dignity and pursue justice.

We’ll reflect on questions like:
• When is the use of force justified?
• What does it mean to pursue peace?
• How do we love enemies while protecting neighbors?
This study isn’t about taking sides—it’s a space for thoughtful, faith-centered conversation and honest questions.

Bible Study

Tuesday, May 1, 2026, 1:00 PM

Over the next few months, our adult Bible study will explore the theme “Where Two or More Are Gathered,” reflecting on how God is present and at work in our relationships.

  • We’ll begin with relationships that form us, focusing on family and sibling stories and reflecting on how early lessons of love, rivalry, forgiveness, and belonging continue to shape us.
  • Next, we’ll explore relationships that sustain us, considering how faithfulness and connection carry us through grief and hardship.
  • Finally, we’ll look at relationships that push us to grow, as we reflect on courage, trust, and stepping forward in faith.

Through Scripture and shared conversation, we can see our relationships as places where God is forming us, sustaining us, and calling us into deeper faith. We hope you’ll join us as we learn and grow together.
